HealthVax flu service runs from March to the end of May and we will vaccinate your employees at their place of work at pre-arranged date and time.
Administering each flu vaccination takes about 2 minutes per employee, who need to remain on the premises for at least 15 minutes following the injection.
All we require is a room with a table, chairs and a waste receptacle. We’ll provide:
- an experienced, trained nurse to vaccinate your staff in the workplace
- the vaccine
- access to question and answer information sheets for your staff
- all promotional material and emails to raise awareness about your flu clinic
- online booking to manage appointments including the option of electronic consent
- access to a medical advice line where your staff can ask the doctor their medical question regarding the flu vaccine
All you need to do is nominate one “champion” per site for us to liaise with.
How The Service Works
Organising a flu clinic is easy as these steps:
- You choose a contact person “champion” to liaise with us
- The champion providesus with a “estimated” of the numbers of staff to be vaccinated (this is usually 33% of your total staff count).
- We will discuss possible clinic dates with the champion and provide posters and other marketing and program resources.
- We will email the booking details including online booking access and consent form access to the champion, to be distributed it to all interested staff.
- We will contact the champion the week prior to the clinic to confirm numbers.
- On clinic day we arrive 15 minutes prior to the clinic to set up and collect forms where required.
