How will the program work?

Every business is a unique combination of staff, locations and operating processes. Through recognising this, HealthVax offers a program with the flexibility to complement your organisation’s diversity. With a consultative approach to scheduling and assistance promoting the vaccination program, Healthvax delivers a 5-step product that is simple to implement. 

 

  • Confirm participation and scheduling requirements with your HealthVax Coordinator
  • Nominate a site champion, who will be the contact point for all subsequent communication
  • Organise a room in which we can conduct the vaccination clinic
  • Promote the clinic to your staff via the materials we supply (e.g. brochures, posters, emails)
  • Confirm attendance numbers with us 1 week prior to the clinic

….then relax and our friendly immunisers will take care of the rest!

 

When should we implement a vaccination program?

Full protection is usually achieved within 10 to 14 days of vaccination, however recent evidence suggests increased immunity is achieved within 3 days.Medical bodies generally recommend that influenza vaccination occurs between March and June every year. By implementing a program prior to winter, you have the ability to cover your business for the entire influenza season.


Who is in charge of the vaccination clinic?
Our HealthVax Immunisers will be onsite to deliver your vaccination program on the scheduled clinic days. As qualified registered nurses, our staff have undergone additional government accredited training to be recognised as endorsed nurse immunisers. This training ensures they are well prepared to respond in the unlikely event of an adverse reaction.

The following terms and conditions apply when securing a vaccination program. Please ensure all staff participating in the program fill in a vaccination consent form (Please print this form double sided on white paper. If you are unable to print as such, please do not staple).


Please note: HealthVax only vaccinates persons aged 13 years and older. While we recommend influenza vaccination for children aged 6 months and older, we encourage parents to take their children to a General Practitioner for this service.
